About Me

Hi, I’m Lucy and I teach piano and music theory from my home in East Worthing (see map). I have years of experience in tutoring both adults and children and am passionate about what I do.

Classically trained from the age of four through the Suzuki method, I strongly believe in teaching the very best technique as it is impossible to play well without this solid foundation.

I aim to inspire students to develop sensitivity and musicianship and encourage learning to play from memory as well as reading music.

I’m committed to making sure students enjoy their lessons, make excellent progress and come away feeling encouraged and inspired.

My musical background and taste are extremely varied having studied many genres including classical, traditional, folk, jazz, Celtic, Serbian, electronic dance music and film composition.

I write music for film, media and orchestra, and in my spare time enjoy playing cello, guitar and DJ-ing.
